§ Fiona MactaggartThe Department for Trade and Industry regulations prohibiting the possession of fireworks, in public places, by those under the age of 18972W and the possession of category 4 fireworks (professional display fireworks) by the general public have now come into force.
The Home Office will be writing to Chief Police Officers shortly with details of these new powers.
