HC Deb 08 January 2004 vol 416 c468W
Tim Loughton

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many senior civil servants in his Department are disabled, expressed in(a) numbers and (b) as a percentage of whole-time equivalents. [144980]

Mr. Pearson

Eight senior civil servants in the Northern Ireland Civil Service and the Northern Ireland Office have declared a disability. This amounts to 3 per cent. of those senior civil servants who have provided information on whether or not they have a disability. Staff provide information on disability voluntarily.
