What was the purpose and cost of painting the cast iron road gulleys in Old Palace Yard black this autumn; and by how many years this will extend the lives of the gulleys. [HL505]

Although the House paid for the initial cost of the works in Old Palace Yard, the upkeep of the paving and associated ironworks is the responsibility of Westminster City Council.
