To ask the Secretary of State for Defence pursuant to the Answer of 30 January,Official Report, column 574W, on Lieutenant Lewis Page, whether (a) authorisation was sought by Lieutenant Page and (b) permission which fell short of proper authorisation was given to Lieutenant Page. [154665]

Lieutenant Lewis Page did not seek authorisation to publish an article inProspect magazine, nor was permission of any kind given to him.
