HC Deb 04 February 2004 vol 417 c942W
Mrs. Iris Robinson

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what recent changes have been made in Home Help Services in Northern Ireland. [152353]

Angela Smith

The Department's policy for the provision of the Home Help Service in Northern Ireland is set out in guidance to Health and Social Services Boards issued on 12 November 1980. The guidance introduced a Model Scheme for the Provision of a Home Help Service which has operated successfully from that time and the Department have not made any recent changes to the Model Scheme. HSS Trusts operate Home Help Services within the framework provided by the Model Scheme and in the context of local priorities and available resources.
