To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the constituencies being considered for detention centres for asylum seekers. [151269]

As part of the expansion of the detention estate we are exploring the possibility of various sites throughout the country. However we are at an early stage. As soon as we seriously consider any particular site we will put it into the public domain and the local MP(s) will be notified.
