To ask the Secretary of State for Health what plans he has to appoint new members to the UK Xenotransplantation Interim Regulatory Authority. [129270]

We are currently in the process of appointing two new Members to the United Kingdom Xenotransplantation Interim Regulatory Authority. A further recruitment exercise will take place in early 2004.
