§ Miss Melanie JohnsonWe announced in "Getting Ahead of the Curve", the strategy for health protection published by the Chief Medical Officer in January 2002, that we intend to carry out a review of the infectious disease law. As stated in the answer of 6 October 2003, 741W Official Report, column 1333W, no specific timetable has been set for the review, but we intend that it should take account of the new emergency powers which it is planned to provide through the Civil Contingencies Bill.
