To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills if he will make a statement on school funding in(a) York and (b) North Yorkshire. [131477]

Between 1997–98 and 2003–04, North Yorkshire's total funding per pupil has increased in cash terms from 2,340 to 3,460 an increase of 48 per cent. York's funding has increased from £2,290 to £3,290, an increase of 44 per cent.
