To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport how many consultancies were commissioned by her Department in the last two years for which figures are available; and what the cost of those contracts was. [130906]

In 2001–02 11 contracts were awarded at a cost of £323,820, while in 2002–03 16 contracts were awarded at a cost of £693,000.
