To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) how many(a) dangerous and (b) non-dangerous prisoners applied for parole in 2002–03; [135487]

(2) how many individuals have been eligible for parole in each year since 2000; and how many have sought parole; [135488]

(3) when the parole board will be advised of their funding budget for 2004–05; [135490]

(4) what recent steps have been taken to inform (a) the public and (b) interested bodies within the criminal justice system about the work of the parole board; [135491]

(5) how many prisons have a parole clerk; [135492]

(6) how the denyers who came before the parole board between January and June were classified; and what the outcome was of their appeals to the parole board; [135494]

(7) what the primary reasons are for refusing parole. [135495]
