§ Mr. MilibandIn January 2003, out of a total of 17,861 maintained primary schools, there were 10,100 schools that showed a decrease in pupil numbers of at least one pupil compared to January 2002.
Also in January 2003, out of a total of 3,436 maintained secondary schools, there were 1,017 schools that showed a decrease in pupil numbers of at least one pupil compared to January 2002.
