To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what the cost was of(a) the in-house canteen and (b) other catering services provided by the Department in 2002. [104251]

§ Alun Michael
The costs of the subsidies paid by the Department for the four in house canteens, three in central London and one in York, for 2002 was £132,413.75.
The figures for the full costs of these canteens and other catering services could be provided only at disproportionate cost.
