To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what policy her Department has adopted on smoking in the workplace. [100925]

Ms Hewitt

Smoking is only permitted in designated smoking rooms and areas. My Department keeps this policy under review in response to emerging scientific and medical evidence.
