§ Lord BachThe number of full-time members of the home service battalions of the Royal Irish Regiment (R IRISH) in Northern Ireland who put in a request 12 months previously to end their engagement in 2002 was 43. The number of part-time members who resigned was 78. These figures do not include those who are R IRISH and assigned to other units who have resigned in 2002.
