To ask the Secretary of State for Health how many cases of infections with the bacteria Acinetobacter there were in the NHS in each year since 1997. [120960]

Data on hospital acquired Acinetobactec infections are not collected centrally. However, the Health Protection Agency has a reporting system for blood stream (bacteraemia) infections and the available data are shown in the table.
