§ Mr. LeslieI announced by way of written statement to the House on 19 June 2003 that the Government will consult widely on how best to take forward our proposal for a new Judicial Appointments Commission. We intend to publish a consultation paper on 14 July 2003. The consultation period will run until November 2003.
