The Biocidal Products Directive 98/8/EC was implemented in Great Britain by the Biocidal Products Regulations 2001 (SI 2001/880) (as amended), which came into force on 6 April 2001, and in Northern Ireland by the Biocidal Products Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2001 (SR2001/422) (as amended), which came into operation on 16 January 2002. Copies of the Regulations are available in the Library.
