§ Mr. WilsonIn 2002, 1.4 per cent. of the UK's total primary energy consumption was provided by renewables. This includes both renewables used to provide heat and renewables used for electricity generation. Primary electricity, namely nuclear, hydro and non-thermal renewables such as wind, accounted for 9.0 per cent. of total primary energy consumption.
