To ask the Secretary of State for Health pursuant to his answer of 21 May 2003,Official Report, columns 855–56W, on Long-term care, how much his Department has allocated to publicise the need for individuals to assess whether they or a relative failed to be given continuing care between 1996 and 2003, as set out in HC399. All strategic health authorities will be taking reasonable steps to ensure their local population is aware that a review is taking place. No additional Departmental resources have been allocated for this exercise.
