To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport how many people were employed in the tourism industry in Northumberland in each of the last five years. [126725]

The information requested is not available. Employment statistics for the tourism industry are available only for the whole of Great Britain and for England. The most recent data are for June 2002. These are shown in the following table with the figures for the previous four years.
