To ask the Prime Minister if he will make a statement on his forthcoming visit to the People's Republic of China. [123676]

The Prime Minister

I will arrive in China on Monday 21 July and will stay away until Thursday 24 July, visiting Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai.

To ask the Prime Minister if he will use his forthcoming visit to the People's Republic of China (PRC) to express support for the Beijing talks mechanism for a peaceful solution to the North Korea nuclear issue involving the USA, North Korea and the PRC. [123679]

The Prime Minister

I will discuss the North Korea nuclear issue with the Chinese Government during my visit. We welcome the role that the Chinese Government has played in hosting trilateral talks.
