To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make a statement on the review of Ombudsman Services for Wales. [122068]

Mr. Touhig

I announced on 11 March that following the overwhelming support received to the principle of unifying public sector Ombudsmen services in Wales there will now be a consultation on the powers and jurisdiction of that new Office. That consultation will begin in December.
