To ask the Secretary of State for Health what guidance has been issued to primary care trusts for the prescription of Aricept, Exelon and Reminyl for patients with mental health problems. [92527]

Jacqui Smith

In January 2001 the National Institute for Clinical Excellence issued guidance to the national health service on the use of Aricept (donepezil), Exelon (rivastigmine) and Reminyl (galantamine) for the treatment of mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease.
