HC Deb 27 January 2003 vol 398 c707W
Virginia Bottomley

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he last met representatives of the Orpheus Centre; and if he will make a statement. [92044]

Mr. Blunkett

I attended a reception at the House of Commons on 13 January 2003, which was organised by the noble Lord Hunt of Wirral, in conjunction with the right hon. Member to celebrate the work of the Orpheus Centre. The Orpheus Centre is doing excellent work, not only by helping young disabled people to achieve their potential in music and drama, but also by drawing attention to the wasted talent that results from negative attitudes towards disability.
