To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport how much(a) her Department and (b) each agency and non-departmental public body sponsored by her Department spent on (i) publicity and (ii) advertising in each year from 1995–96 to 2002–03 (estimated); and if she will make a statement. The Department's spend on publicity in each year between 1995–96 and 2002–03 (estimated) is detailed in the table. During this period the Department has incurred no expenditure on advertising.

Publicity and advertising expenditure by the Department's agencies and non-departmental public bodies is a matter for each individual body and information is not held centrally.
