HC Deb 21 January 2003 vol 398 c269W
Bob Russell

To ask the Deputy Prime Minister how much funding has been allocated to the Housing Corporation for the current financial year for new dwellings; how much will be given for the next financial year; and what figure the Corporation has stated it needs to meet requests made by registered social housing landlords for new dwellings. [91140]

Mr. McNulty

In 2002–03, the Housing Corporation have allocated £820 million to new-build schemes through their approved development programme (ADP).

The amount for new-build schemes for the 2003–04 ADP has not yet been determined.

The ADP is run on the basis of competitive bids, and commonly attracts bids from registered social landlords amounting to three times the available funds from the Housing Corporation.
