§ Mr. BoatengThe National Asset Register (CM 5221) shows that, at March 2000, the value of land and buildings owned by central government departments and their sponsored bodies in the public sector was £160 billion. Land and buildings are valued in accordance with the relevant UK accounting standards. Further information is available in departmental resource accounts and the accounts of their sponsored bodies.
