Further to the Written Answer by the Lord Privy Seal on 7 January (WA 170), whether paragraph 4(1)(f) of the Schedule to the Northern Ireland Act 2000 allows the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland to consider legal opinions of the now suspended government of Northern Ireland. [HL1187]

Yes. However, the Secretary of State does not propose to do so, having regard to the convention that Ministers do not ask to see advice given to a previous administration.
