What legal advice has been received regarding Construction Industry Training Board levies for employees of Northern Ireland firms working abroad. [HL458]

This issue was raised at a full meeting of the Construction Industry Training Board earlier this year and it was then referred to the Department for Employment and Learning for further guidance on the interpretation of the legislation. The department referred the matter to its legal advisers. In line with Part II, paragraph 2 of the Code of Practice on Access to Government Information and under Part II, paragraph 4b, Law Enforcement and Legal Proceedings, it would be inappropriate to disclose the information requested by the noble Lord.
