330WAs National Statistician, I have been asked to reply to your recent question asking how many pregnancies in females under the age of 20 there were in each year since 1986 per 100,000 population. (141995)cases of cancer of the cervix in England for the age groups requested are given in the table below for the years 1986 to 2000.
Prior to 1987, the method used for calculating mother's age at conception was not comparable to that used in later years.The data shown in the attached table are for 1987 to 2001, the latest year available. Please note that these data only cover conceptions that led to a maternity (i.e a live or still birth). Conceptions which resulted in miscarriage or termination are not included.
