§ Hilary BennGuidance on recovering costs for the policing of football matches is set out in Home Office Circular 34/2000. We have recently set up a working group, with representatives of the Home Office, Department for Culture Media and Sport, Association of Chief Police Officers and the football authorities to consider a range of issues, including charging for the policing of matches, and the investment of football clubs in the wider community.
