A draft Extradition Bill, containing provisions to give effect to the Framework Decision on the European arrest warrant, was contained in a consultation paper published on 27 June. Copies of the responses that were received have been placed in the Library and on the Home Office website.

The Joint Committee on Human Rights produced a report on the draft Bill (Twentieth Report of Session 2001–02, HC 1140) and a number of members of the public have written about the European arrest warrant.

The Extradition Bill was introduced on 14 November 2002.
