The international forum for debate on these issues is the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR). Members of the National Radiological Protection Board (NRPB), which advises the Government on radiation Risks, participate in UNSCEAR as members and use the data generated to inform NRPB's risk calculations.
