HL Deb 04 November 2002 vol 640 cc55-6WA
0 Baroness Noakes

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Further to the answer by Lord Hunt of Kings Heath on 17 July (HL Deb, cols. 1230–32), whether they have completed their investigation into the in vitro fertilisation incident; and, if so, whether they will publish their findings in relation to the procedures and role of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority and the general operation of in vitro fertilisation clinics. [HL 6144]

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Health (Lord Hunt of Kings Heath):

The investigation referred to in my earlier reply (HL Deb, 17 July, cols. 1230-32) is continuing, although an initial report has been made to the court. The restriction mentioned in that reply imposed by the court remains in force for the time being. No decision has been made about publication of the investigation's findings.
