§ Mr. Caborn[holding answer 20 May 2002]: Civil servants are eligible for membership of an occupational pension scheme. The Cabinet Office is responsible for this occupational pension scheme—the principal civil service pension scheme (PCSPS), and pays the pensions of retired members of the scheme centrally.
