§ Dawn PrimaroloDuring the 12 months to March 2001 the cost to the Inland Revenue of administering working families' tax credit was £133.8 million. In the previous six months the cost was £36.1 million.
The Department does not record separately the costs of payment directly to the recipient and payment via the employer.
