§ Mrs. Helen Clark
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will include road traffic injuries and fatalities in the British Crime Survey.
§ Mr. Bob Ainsworth
This would not be appropriate. The British Crime Survey asks respondents about their experiences of, and views about, crime. This is a different matter to road traffic injuries and fatalities, which may or may not be the result of a criminal act, such as dangerous driving.
