§ Ruth KellyThe Performance and Innovation Unit (PIU) is not part of HM Treasury but is located in the Cabinet Office and reports directly to the Prime Minister. The sponsor Minister for the PIU voluntary sector review is the Home Secretary. In the course of normal business the PIU are in close touch with a range of Treasury officials on issues of common concern.
