Spend on press and advertising campaigns for 2001–02 was £14.4 million exclusive of VAT.
- The campaigns covered:
- Vehicle crime reduction
- Police recruitment
- Electoral issues
- Drug misuse
- Child protection on the internet.
Planned expenditure for 2002–03 has not yet been finalised.
