To ask the Secretary of State for Health (1) how many people are on the NHS organ donor register; and what percentage of the population this represents, broken down by local authority area; [43307]

(2) how many people have been on the organ donor register for the last five years for which figures are available. [43308]

There are currently 9.2 million people registered on the NHS Organ Donor Register. This represents 15.3 per cent. of the population.
