HL Deb 23 July 2002 vol 638 cc43-4WA
Lord Hylton

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many instances of human error affecting full disclosure occurred and when, both at first instance and on appeal, in the criminal cases tried in consequence of the bomb explosions on 26 Juy 1994, at the Embassy of Israel and Balfour House; and whether anyone has been disciplined on account of these errors. [HL5196]

The Attorney-General (Lord Goldsmith)

The appellants in this matter have petitioned the House of Lords for leave to appeal. Whether leave to appeal will be granted is under active consideration. As such it is inappropriate at this stage to comment on matters which may in due course be aired in court.
