To ask the Secretary of State for Culture. Media and Sport when the EU Committee for the implementation of the programme establishing a single financing and programming instrument for cultural co-operation (Culture 2000) is next due to meet; whether representatives of the Scottish Executive(a) have been and (b) are members of it; and if she will make a statement. The Culture 2000 Management Committee last met in Brussels on 31 May 2002. There is no fixed date for the next meeting of the Committee, although this is likely to be in the autumn. No members of the Scottish Executive have been or are members of the Committee.
