§ Mr. MacShaneThe EU has made clear that further progress in Macedonia's relations with the European Union is closely tied to the implementation of the August 2001 Framework Agreement. We will continue to monitor progress, particularly during the forthcoming election period. If the conditions in Macedonia are right the UK hopes to ratify the Stabilisation and Association Agreement after the summer.
