To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many staff have contributed to his Department's input to the spending review. [68687]

Mr. Boateng

A range of staff across the Treasury have contributed to work on the 2002 spending review. The work has been co-ordinated in the Public Services Directorate, which presently numbers around 220 staff.
