To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how many shop workers have taken a case to an employment tribunal because of discrimination against them for refusing to work on a Sunday; and how many were successful. [30944]

Since 1994 when shop workers were given new rights involving Sunday working a total of 157 applications have been made to an employment tribunal of which 14 were successful.
