HC Deb 23 January 2002 vol 378 cc907-9W
Mr. Cousins

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills what the standard spending assessment per secondary pupil in each local education authority was for(a) 1999–2000, (b) 2000–01 and (c) 2001–02; and if she will estimate this figure for each (i) local education authority and (ii) learning and skills council in 2003–04 in total and (a) for 11 to 16 and (b) post-16 years pupils. [29715]

Mr. Timms

The information requested from 1999–2000 to 2001–02 is in the table. Allocations for 2003–04 have not yet been made so figures for that year are not available.

We are currently working up a new funding system for introduction in 2003–04, and that will affect funding allocations from that year.
