To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many cars with their contents of tobacco and alcohol were confiscated by Her Majesty's Customs and Excise in the last 12 months; and how many of these cars originated in the north-east. [26726]

Customs records of the numbers of vehicles seized do not disaggregate between the nature of the offences, the type of vehicle or the origin of the vehicle involved in each case.
