§ Jacqui SmithThe Victoria Climbie inquiry is an independent statutory inquiry commissioned by my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for Health and the Home Department. The Secretary of State for Health understands that Phase II of the inquiry will start in March and will consist of a series of five seminars. Further information about the seminars can be obtained from www.victoria-climbie-inquiry.org.uk.
We understand that phase I of the inquiry is expected to end this month, and that phase II is expected to end in April. The report of the inquiry is expected later this year.
