Ms Blears

According to the latest survey figures available, 21 per cent. of men and women in England are classified as obese; 3 per cent. of women and 2 per cent. of men reported a depressive episode in a selected one week period; 7.1 per cent. of men and 4.6 per cent. of women are classified as having ischaemic heart disease (angina or heart attack) and 8.5 per cent. of men and 6.2 per cent. of women as having ischaemic heart disease or stroke. The above figures are not available at health authority level. There is no recognised definition of "poor nutrition".
